The Cyber Security Risk to you and your clients – what the criminals can see!

Dorset Law Society has teamed up with the South West Police Cyber Crime Unit and Cyber Security Experts, Blueloop Limited to present an insight into the current and foreseeable risks to businesses through Internet banditry.
All practitioners and their clients are potentially affected by the activities of bandits seeking to divert funds or to mine for information.
This short breakfast seminar will look at the practical ways in which risk can be mitigated across the business and in respect of your own use of the Internet. This seminar is of interest to all individuals who access confidential information through the Internet. It is not simply for the IT crowd!
After the seminar there will be an opportunity to tour historic Sherborne School. Places are limited.

Jake Moore, Cyber Protect Officer, South West Police Cyber Crime Unit
Jake will talk about some of the cases the Cyber Crime Unit are dealing with to illustrate risk. He will illustrate how individuals and businesses can adopt some simple steps to make their business safer and more resilient.
Robin Barker, Blueloop
Blueloop provide Cyber Security, IT and Data Management services and to large and medium sized companies. Robin will help you to identify risk and know your enemy, the Scope of Cyber Security protection. He will also look at the changes for GDPR for May next year.
