Be part of the Law Society Consultation on 2024/25 Practising Certificate Fee

It closes on 24 May, so make your views known now!

The Law Society is consulting members on a £4.20 increase in the Practising Certificate fee for individual solicitors for the practice year from 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025. Take part, and respond here. The more responses, the better an evidence-based decision can be made.

The Law Society of England and Wales is the profession’s representative body.  This is the second year of a three-year corporate strategy which sets out four objectives for 2022 to 2025:

  1. promote the value of the profession and provide a compelling member offer;
  2. protect the justice system and make sure it applies to everyone equally;
  3. maximise our potential by growing our commercial reach, by being efficient and sustainable; and
  4. be an employer of choice for people who want to make a difference.

The Law Society requests that all members complete a ten minute survey, before the 24th of May. Respondees have the chance to win a £100 voucher.

More information on the consultation can be found here.
